May Day Tricks

In the North of England, the first of May is celebrated as “All Fools’ Day” (1st April), a day in which to play tricks on people.  People shout ‘May Gosling’ if they manage to trick someone. In this case the answer must be:

‘May Goslings past and gone. You’re the fool for making me one!’
