Images in search for words: a contest

Hi guys!

here’s a spectacular video on the history of our planet, the Earth.

Have you noticed? There are only images and music, but no words…

Can you think of a short text for this video? It can be a simple description, or a quotation, or a short poem… it’s up to you!

Let’s start a contest… don’t be lazy! 😉

  1. There are many simple questions we ask ourselves everyday…but there’re also some questions we are afraid of asking because we already know we can’t answer them! We can try to justify our origins, our evolution, lots of scientists and philosophers before us have tried themselves over time, but we can’t exactly say where we are from, or why we are similar to monkeys…however, i think that the impossibility to give a definite answer makes the questions more and more fascinating!

  2. The video is breathtaking and it reminded me of Joseph Campbell who once said : “The goal of life is to make your heartbeat match the beat of the universe to match your nature with Nature. ” a phrase which I find is a moral law. Who on earth is not fascinated by the Universe? We humans spend our entire lives thinking about our own existence and its meaning in the whole Universe but of course there are questions to which we may never find answers. Life is extremely complicated and chaotic but it is within this chaos that life ultimately surprises us with its beauty. Think of the seven wonders of the world, for instance, or a star collision, our own evolution, the enormous variety of species of animals and plants on earth, a tree blossoming in spring, the hard work behind a beehive or even a foetus which apparently grows from nothing…I cannot be but speechless.
