Game of the week

Old Games

Hello guys, JhooZ here with a new kind of article.

As you maybe can understand from the title, today I’m going to talk about a quite old game that was released in the 90’s.

This is also a game used  for NES and Arcade, old platforms that people used in that period.

Today I’ll talk about “The Simpsons adventures”.  All of you surely know  the cartoon series, but only a few of you will know this as a game.

This was one of the first 3D games, where the characters that you would choose from (Homer, Marge, Lisa, Bart) will walk in a street full of enemies.

Now you will be thinking “Why can’t I use Maggie?”… well, the main line starts with MR.Burns kidnapping her! 😉

This is a “scrolling game”, so all you  have to do is defeat all the enemies that you meet on your way trying to keep you  from getting to Maggie.

The main line is not so  important as  in modern games, because this game was programmed for mobile arcade so it has to be quite fast, in fact it has only up to 5 levels.

Considering the technical side of this game, it  has  wonderful graphics for the period in which it came out, the soundtracks are the original ones from the cartoon series and even the voices are the same as the cartoon characters, and this is awesome!

I used to love this game when I was a little nerd and I used to waste all my money at the arcade  near my seaside holiday home!

The thing is, before you get to the end the game  can become a bit stale more than once.  Anyway, I kept playing it because it was just awesome: in my opinion it is one of the best games for NES and mobiles that has been released.

It’s been your JhooZ for today, please leave a comment.
