I’ve noticed that JHOOZ writes a lot of articles about video-games, so that’s why I’ve decided to add an article about a game that you could find interesting.
Let’s start! Have you ever heard the name DOTA 2?
Dota 2 is a RTS (Real Time Strategy) game and a multiplayer online battle arena video game developed by Valve Corporation as a sequel of Defense of the Ancient (DotA).
First, I would you like to say that this is a free-to-play game, so if you find the game interesting you can simply download Dota 2 from Steam.
However, this is a really hard game. Each match of Dota 2 is independent and involves two teams, both involving five players and each occupying a stronghold at either end of the map. In this game we have two opposing factions, the Radiant and the Dire, who dwell in a structure called the “Ancient”, which is defended by a series of buildings.
This is the map of Dota 2:
As you can see the Dota 2 map is symmetrical. The Radiant Ancient is based at the southwest corner of the map, while the Dire Ancient is based at the northeast corner; the two sides are divided by a river. The two teams compete against one another as the defenders of their respective “Ancient”.
Each game ends when one of the two factions destroys the opposite Ancient. In every match you can choose your hero among more than 70 heroes, which have different roles and abilities.
If you think this game is B-O-R-I-N-G, you’d better have a look on the internet to see some game plays or, even better, download the game and start playing with Dota 2: I can assure you it is addictive!
With this game, you can play with many people who are from every part of the world, this game in fact breaks all the barriers between nations.
As a demonstration of this, every year you can see 16 of the best teams of Dota playing in a public event known as The International, that is a global championship with a grand prize of one million dollars! This is an image taken from Dota 2 awards:
That’s all for today! Stay tuned guys I’ll be back soon with a new article 😀 bye
