Touching stories of friendship

Hi there! Today I want to talk about a particular theme: friendship. I’ll tell you some stories of a sheer fellowship that was able to overcome difficulties, a friendship that will probably touch you.

Personally, I think that having a lot of friends is fantastic and I consider that friendship is essential if you want to live happily; for these reasons I love my friends and I’m always willing to help them; it has to be said that sincere and heartfelt friendships are the best of all, like the relationship between the footballers Dani Alves and Eric Abidal.

Eric Abidal, 35 years old, is an ex footballer who played as defender for Lyon, Barcelona and Monaco; in March 2011, during the season he played with Barcelona, his team announced that Abidal had been diagnosed a cancer in his liver and he needed to be operated. He overcame the operation because his cousin Gerard offered him part of his own liver so Abidal could start playing football again!

However, the real beautiful story of friendhisp was told by Abidal to Catalunya Radio in 2013; Abidal said that also his Barcelona team-mate Dani Alves had offered to donate him his liver. He also said that their relationship was much more than a normal friendhisp and quoting his words: “We are friends and we talk about everything. He wanted to help me but he couldn’t be because he is an athlete”. Nevertheless, Dani Alves answered: “It was a risk, but when life is at stake, football is the least important thing. God can give you strength and other things to do outside of football.” Dani Alves said that he was willing to sacrifice his own playing career for his friend! An astonishing endearment! 🙂

Another sign of this wonderful fellowship is Dani Alves’s decision to leave his jersey number 2 and wear number 22 jersey, Abidal’s old number. 🙂

This is one of the most moving stories of friendship that I’ve ever heard, and I’m telling you this happening because it’s a beautiful thing to discover the real value and importance of our friends.

There are many other examples of similar friendly gestures and people who seem to be detached often have a heart of gold; as an instance, I’m sure you all know Cristiano Ronaldo, one of the best footballers in the world, let’s watch this video that shows his ‘human side’ 🙂

Moreover, apart from the world of sport, traces of real friendships can be found in music! Recently, the most beautiful song about this topic that I’ve heard is ‘See you again’ by the American rapper Wiz Khalifa feat. Charlie Puth; the song is the soundtrack of the action film ‘Fast & Furious 7’  and it is a tribute to Paul Walker, the actor who died in a car crash in November 2013 while the film was being shot. This touching song is a celebration of intimate friendship and affection which I want to share with you 🙂

Well, you like these stories, don’t you? 🙂  Would you be willing to help your friends in every situation?

That’s all folks! See you! 😀
